The month of October
The month of October is/was the Breast Cancer Awareness month. I participated in a "Saddle Up for the Cure" trail ride which took place at the Elm Creek Park Reserve in Dayton on October 7th. The ride is to raise money for research and treatment for Breast Cancer. Not only did I do this to help raise money but I did it in honor of my Mother, who is a 15+ year survivor. Also, in memory of my Grandmother who has since passed after battling the disease for 10 years.
I plan on doing this ride again next year. It was a beautiful day, so much fun and this was my first year. I met quite a few people that day, too. Some who were survivors, some who knew or have known someone with Breast Cancer and those who were there to cheer us on before and after the ride.
I will look forward to next year.

Deer Hunting is Near!
YaHooooo! Deer Hunting is near and the excitement of it is undescribable! Maybe it's the fact that Barry and I are celebrating 5 years of marriage together at the same time. That is a time we will never forget.

February Quote
To often we under estimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around

Quote for Today
To be interested in the changing seasons is a happier state of mind than to be hopelessly in love with Spring.

Quote of the Day...Nov 25th "06
Look back on our struggle for freedom, trace our present day's strength to it's source; And you'll find that man's pathway to glory is strewn with the bones of a horse.

Quote of the Day
Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.
