1997-2007

I was just thinking today about how this year will mark 10 years since both Grandmothers have passed away. A few weeks ago or so the first one passed away and then in a couple weeks or so the other one. Hard to believe that 10 years has gone by. There is never a day that goes by that they are not thought about and both missed very much. At times it has been hard, I guess, because they both left us within weeks of each other.

Just before Labor Day 10 years ago Princess Diana's passing shocked the world. This may not be, for some of you a big deal, but I became a Royal watcher when she became the Princess of Wales. She was a strong woman and will be missed by her boys. Taken way too soon. I just about followed her every move since marrying in the Royal family. She was one of those 'I'm taking charge of my life and raising my children the way I see fit' kind of person. I admired that in her.

In October will mark 10 years since a neighbor, who was like a second mother to me has been gone. Again, someone who was taken way too soon. There are lots of memories I will cherish living next to her and her husband.

February Quote

To often we under estimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around

Quote for Today

To be interested in the changing seasons is a happier state of mind than to be hopelessly in love with Spring.

Quote of the Day...Nov 25th "06

Look back on our struggle for freedom, trace our present day's strength to it's source; And you'll find that man's pathway to glory is strewn with the bones of a horse.

Quote of the Day

Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.
